The short version is that it’s a medicinal vine that grows in the Amazon jungle. Within each box set there is a cross section of the 10 meters of vine that was sustainably harvested by us. Indigenous people have been using ayahuasca for thousands of years for vision quests and healing work. It’s a fascinating topic, and there are libraries of books and articles about it.
What is Palo Santo? (Bursera Graveolens)
Palo Santo is an aromatic tree that grows in the Ecuadorian dry forests and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal, and has scents of of pine, mint and lemon. In Spanish Palo Santo means “Holy Wood,” because it is used by shamans to cure physical and spiritual ailments. We only use naturally fallen branches to conserve these slow growing, fragrant trees.
