Olly Boon

Olly is the founder and visionary developer of The Roots Project. He spent over 7 years travelling throughout the Americas, along the way he connected with several Indigenous traditions, forming lasting friendships with tribal communities. He’s very passionate about finding and facilitating solutions which have a regenerative impact on people and the planet. He has completed three Permaculture Design Courses (PDCs) and a People and Permaculture Facilitators training, he continues to develop his skills and education in the vision on becoming an effective leader and designer for cultural transformation.

Brittney Johnson
(marketing & communications director)

Brittney Johnson has traveled the world studying regenerative solutions for communities and the earth through living in eco-villages, farm stays, and earth-centered, indigenous rooted gatherings. She has recently co-founded a regenerative business agency, Triple Bottom Line, supporting our transformation of the business ecoscape. She also founded Fruit The World — weaving together regenerative solutions for the earth, body and communities and has her own personal practice for cellular regeneration and botanical remedies, Top of the Mountain and Mountain Medicinals.

Brittney Is excited to be working with the Roots Project to connect with indigenous peoples and share their beautiful gifts with the rest of the world, while providing these communities the resources and skills they need to strengthen their communities and livelihoods.

Alexandra Marshall
(marketing & design director)

Hailing from a little village in the English countryside but living in the vast USA, Alexandra is more than delighted to be on board with the Roots Project as it is based close to her true home. And even better, the principles that the Roots Project stands by are core to her mission: to make the world a better place via inspired, passionate action. Alexandra is well equipped in her vision, as she is fluent in the languages of marketing and design, with a background in the realm of marketing for organic products and businesses.

Outside of this, she also runs her own high-end web design agency, Free Spirit Press. Her creative mind, knack for organization, skills in communications and web design, combined with her love of our Earth and its beings have lead her to co-found Triple Bottom Line Agency, an an Earth-oriented marketing team, with Brittney.

Alex Leeor
(developer and communications)

Alex has 21 years experience as a web developer at all levels. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of the Internet and social media. Alex is driven, self motivated, inspired and passionate in all he does. He has good attention to detail, and is able to problem solve very effectively. He has great communication skills, a sharp mind, and is a real team player. His passion for the Internet, combined with his passion for helping make the world a better place is a powerful combination. Alex is also passionate about eco-building, in particular Earthship Biotecture. He co-initiated and co-managed the first Earthship build in the UK (Earthship Brighton) and successfully self built his own Earthship home in 2012. Alex continues to support and promote sustainable building and living.
